This Week in YC 7
Welcome to the 7th weekly series of Y Combinator startup updates!
This Week in YC is an attempt to form major Y Combinator startups changes such as pivots, market expansions, team changes on C-level and metrics improvements into (possibly) valuable insights.
Feedback is indeed very welcome since I’m still on the way to figuring out the best possible representation of such information. Enjoy!

After: A globally available, serverless platform for SpiceDB
Description
Before: Authzed is a platform to store, compute, and validate application permissions. Permissions are modeled based on relationships between objects that are defined by an application. Developers design and test the objects and relationships that will be used for determining permissions for their application. They then extend their application using client libraries that create, delete, and check relationships within that data model
After: SpiceDB is a database system for managing security-critical permissions checking. SpiceDB acts as a centralized service that stores authorization data. Once stored, data can be performantly queried to answer questions such as "Does this user have access to this resource?" and "What are all the resources this user has access to?". Authzed operates the globally available, serverless database platform for SpiceDB
